Joint scholarships with the Boris Nemtsov Foundation

Soon after the war in Ukraine started the Zimin Foundation and the Boris Nemtsov Foundation began offering several scholarships for Ukrainian students and Russian scientists.

Four scholarships were made available for Ukrainian students at the Prague University of Economics. Young people from Ukraine who had completed secondary education could apply. The candidates whose applications were approved received a scholarship for two years.

Five two-year scholarships for Ukrainian citizens at Charles University were provided for people between 18 and 26 years of age who were not enrolled in any study programme at any university.

Five scholarships awarded by two funds at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague were established for Ukrainian students who had left their country because of the war.

The Feodor Stepun programme at  the Ruhr-Universität Bochum was created to assist scientists and researchers working in various fields. The project supports ten scientists from Ukraine and Russia who had to leave their countries because of the war.
